I’ve been keeping my eye on this for quite a while to see where it would go and how it would develop. And DEAR LORD almighty is fantastic. G-System has been making fabulous kits for a while now, and things just got a lot better with the release of this kit. Well, pre-release. It’s not quite out yet. Shame, really…
The Kshatriya is a mobile suit – following how I feel about Hajime Katoki’s designs of the latest U.C. suits – I completely LOVE! It’s designation of being a ‘Prototype Mobile Suit for New-type’ follows through completely in it’s blocky, rough around the edges design. The way some parts are over sized, and some parts look like they were ripped off of a Zaku II, was firstly off putting to me. But I grew to like it after, say, three minutes.
We’ve all experienced, at one point or another, loose joints. Whether or not they’re from top heavy kits (Kshatriya), or just wear and tear, they get annoying. I’ve learned (a while ago, now) a trick to tighten joints within about an hour, with no mess, and no worry. With nothing but school glue!
Yup. I’m going away! For about a week. Me and my family are taking our yearly trip up to Moosehead Lake for a week. Now we have a general rule: No electronics. We don’t bring computers, Gaming apparatuses, etc… (though we do bring our phones, an emergency with no phone in the middle of absolutely NOWHERE equals death.) I’m about half way done with the photo’s I think I need to take for Kshatriya, and haven’t yet touched the Red Frame. I’m trying my best to get them done before Monday, So I can write them straight away when I get home. Don’t expect to hear from me from say, now, until Next Friday. I always bring a model or two with me also, to fight off the boredom (Idle hands are the devils Play-things!). This time, I’m bringing my HGUC Unicorn Gundam, and My RG RX-78-2 (though I probably won’t actually build it). I also have some Calculus work that my Kind and courteous Math Sensei (though he is pretty awesome!) gave to me to work on over the summer (and I will thank him).
So here’s to a week of bonfires, cold nights, and an Ever Beautiful view!
No post in two weeks, BUT! I have a pretty good excuse… ^^; Last Week, I started playing Final Fantasy XII again. Which was a VERY bad idea. This week happened to be shark week, which I kind of treat like a Religion… No seriously. I do. Though the times were not without productivity!
As you can probably see, I managed to complete two other kits over the last seventeen days; which gives me a lovely as hell back log of reviews to write. I also evolved my photo area again, adding some VERY cheap sheets to help diffuse the light and deal with glare.
What I’ll probably do is finish the two reviews I have done, and then shoot the other two, just so I don’t get too confused with the mass amount of photo’s. I can’t wait to review the Red Frame, so I’ll do it last (to help motivate me through the rest). And we’ll see how it goes from there!
So this would be one of those incidents where you go to look at a model. And then it’s half done! I have a good chunk of the Kshatriya done, say about: 60%. Lets take a look at what we’ve got so far!
They’re here! Ordered these models about a month ago, and they just arrived(the Red Frame was on backorder)! A total of seven models, that I actually got in place of a PG 00 Raiser, which I decided was not going to fit anywhere in my house, much less my room. So I traded it for these, which actually came out to the EXACT same price! =D If some of the boxes look a bit rough, that’s because the box got almost completely soaked during shipping. In the end though, non of the models themselves were really harmed. So let’s take a brief look, shall we?
