Micro-Review! HGUC Banshee [Destroy Mode]

I have to admit something. I watched Episode 5 of Gundam UC right before I wrote this review. It’s fantastic, and you should watch it. Now. I am so pumped right now! Anyway: This kit is identical to the HGUC Unicorn Gundam DM with a few additions. I’ve never really been a fan of all the extra add-ons, so I opted to leave them off, and go with a more original, novel centric version. A good thing with this kit: it’s very modular (kind of), so you can basically make your own Banshee!

Monthly Releases Updated!

I thought about pulling an April Fool’s day joke. But I’m better than that! I’m not Valve… >->’ Anyway! I updated the Monthly Release list, so you can check on that here! Things of note: The Next Real Grade (Gundam Mk. II), the Master Grade AGE-1S Sparrow, and oh so much more!

It’s my Birthday!

Yeah! Today’s my birthday! If you’re curious, I’m 19 years old! Above is the take for today, the last for a while. And by a while I mean 2 weeks. A closer-ish look at the three after the jump, with some more ideas I’m throwing around.

Review! HG Sinanju

Okay, so how many of you SERIOUSLY think that this could be the Master Grade Sinanju, and I’m just joshing all of you? Hmmm. I thought so. Yes, I think this kit REALLY is that good. Though through shooting this review I found one major crutch that the Sinanju has sown into its design. Clack past the jump to see what I mean!

Reviews in progress!

Sorry about the lack of posts for almost two weeks! Been a tid busy here, but I finally got a day to myself here as I got a good 3 or 4 feet of snow outside right now. And that means I have a good day to myself to work on models! I’ve already finished one leg last week, and I’ve been working on the other (though more slowly, as it’s kinda monotonous now…) since then, and I’m almost done. I should have that review posted in the next couple of days (by Friday though, definitely). The Real Grade review I’ve been meaning to do for a while, but haven’t really felt like it all that much. And the Delta Plus will most likely be done for the end of February, Beginning of March. I also have the Fourth week of February off (it’s good to live in the North!), And I hope to have both reviews at least shot, so I can start building some more. I also managed to redo my Photo setup again, the first one was starting to get in the way. The new ones on top of on of my shelves in the corner of my room, nice and out of the way… but in doing so I displaced all of my Perfect Grades, and this:

yeeeaaaaah….

Work In Progress: HGUC Unicorn Gundm +

Sorry about the whole no-post-in-two-weeks thing. It gets hellish around Christmas time at my house (you should really see it though, so many beautiful Christmas lights… TT_TT). I started my HGUC Unicorn Gundam about Back in August, when I went up to the Lake. Though I only built the Kit itself, as I had plans for the Head Display base. And as you can see, they’re mostly done! The Display base itself was molded in all white, and I really didn’t like that! Masking it was a semi-huge pain in the ass, but the finished effects are very nice (more in the actual review, of course) I just have the actual head part to finish, and then I can do the review (should’t be too hard…) I’m gonna try to do this after the Real Grade’s review is done, but I might have other plans by then. I’m used to it, really. Just ask my MG Hi-v Gundam! ;D

Wing ‘EW’ in-depth, and October release schedule

First off! A more detailed look the variations of the mobile suits that will most likely be the Master Grade kits coming out. You can see in the upper left corner that these suits are the First version of the Gundams (before the mid-season upgrade) in the series made into ‘Endless Waltz’ Ver-OMG LOOK AT THE SANDROCK! *AHEM. Release schedule for October after the Break…

HGUC Kshatriya Review

The Kshatriya is a mobile suit – following how I feel about Hajime Katoki’s designs of the latest U.C. suits – I completely LOVE! It’s designation of being a ‘Prototype Mobile Suit for New-type’ follows through completely in it’s blocky, rough around the edges design. The way some parts are over sized, and some parts look like they were ripped off of a Zaku II, was firstly off putting to me. But I grew to like it after, say, three minutes.

Hiatus Announcement

Yup. I’m going away! For about a week. Me and my family are taking our yearly trip up to Moosehead Lake for a week. Now we have a general rule: No electronics. We don’t bring computers, Gaming apparatuses, etc… (though we do bring our phones, an emergency with no phone in the middle of absolutely NOWHERE equals death.) I’m about half way done with the photo’s I think I need to take for Kshatriya, and haven’t yet touched the Red Frame. I’m trying my best to get them done before Monday, So I can write them straight away when I get home. Don’t expect to hear from me from say, now, until Next Friday. I always bring a model or two with me also, to fight off the boredom (Idle hands are the devils Play-things!). This time, I’m bringing my HGUC Unicorn Gundam, and My RG RX-78-2 (though I probably won’t actually build it). I also have some Calculus work that my Kind and courteous Math Sensei (though he is pretty awesome!) gave to me to work on over the summer (and I will thank him).

So here’s to a week of bonfires, cold nights, and an Ever Beautiful view!

HGUC Jegan Review

The latest Generation of Cannon Fodder! The Jegan carries over it’s very odd color scheme (Seriously, is that like sea-foam green? Or perhaps… I dunno.) and its tendency to get blown to hell, from it’s GM predecessor . Now, (as a spoiler) there’s nothing particularly special about this mobile suit. It is mass produced, so nothing makes it really stand out. But that doesn’t necessarily mean this kit isn’t exceptional!
